Indonesia: most corrupt country in Asia Pacific

Indonesia is the most corrupt country from a list of 16 countries in the Asia Pacific region according to a survey conducted by Political & Economic Risk Consultancy, based in Hong Kong.

This was stated by the Head of the Task Force Socialization of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Kusmeiyano Guntur on Wednesday (2/22/2012), the anti-corruption seminar in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

“In the eyes of business people, Indonesia is the most corrupt countries in the Asia Pacific region. This course deals with the performance of the bureaucracy, so the problem will not be complete if only relying on the prosecution.     This is so sad to know that Indonesia, which country is actully rich for its natural resources, known as most corrupt country in Asia Pacific. Must be embarrassing for the citizens. But we can't blame the government, bcs I think this happens bcs of some irresponsible individuals.

    i think this is a curse from God, Indonesia has given too much, so make our people forget to thanks with everything. may be we will get up from the long sleep if our natural wealth disapear.

    lots of influential (or not) people are often blinded with power and money that they become selfish. they sometimes think wealthiness is everything when in fact, it isn't. its hard though to stop corruption from happening. i'm not saying it's impossible, but it wont be easy as it has become some kind of culture there. the saddest thing is that the good people, who has the potentials to prevent, reduce or even stop corruption from becoming even worse, tend to leave the country and left it with the douche ones.
