Voices of Youth

Pictures of burning cars and vandalizing hordes made their way from England around the world during the last weeks. Many adolescents were involved in the violent incidents. In May, thousands of young people marched the streets of Spain to protest against unemployment, cuts in social services, and lack of opportunities. The global financial crisis has made it difficult for young people to enter the job market and often rage and desperation are the results. However, there are signs of hope. The Arab Spring showed the world the power of young voices and how important it is to have determination. What can young people do to move forward toward a positive future?
